David Contrada, Associate

David is an Associate in the Vermont office of The Clark Group. His work focuses on NEPA and performance management for federal agencies. David helps clients use NEPA to improve government decision-making through the development of new policies, regulations and guidance, and he conducts performance management analyses that result in more effective and efficient environmental programs in government agencies. David also brings extensive knowledge and experience in energy law and policy to The Clark Group. His primary area of focus is in developing economic incentives and community initiatives to build a clean energy infrastructure. David is specifically interested in spurring energy efficiency and renewable energy in the private sector, through State laws and regulations, and within Federal buildings and on Federal lands and waters.

Prior to joining the Clark Group, David worked as a Research Associate at the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law School. He has a Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and Master of Philosophy from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College.
